Unescape String

Description

This operation is used to decode escape sequences in a string back to their original characters. Escaped strings are often used in programming, web development, or data transmission to represent special characters that cannot be directly included in text.


Data types

These are the input/output expected data types for this operation:

Input data

- String with escape characters.

Output data

- Resulting unescaped string.


Example

Suppose you want to unescape characters in a series of input strings. To do it:

  1. In your Pipeline, open the required Action configuration and select the input Field.

  2. In the Operation field, choose Unescape string.

  3. Give your Output field a name and click Save. All the escape characters will be removed. For example:

She said, \"Hello, world!\" -> She said, "Hello, world!"

You can try out operations with specific values using the Input field above the operation. You can enter the value in the example above and check the result in the Output field.
